This program is offered for athletes aged 7 years to approximately 11 or 12 years of age (1st to 5th graders). Athletes meet once per week during the summer to practice cycling, transition and running skills. All abilities are welcome! There is not specific type of bike required, although road bikes are recommended.
Athletes may swim with any summer league program. Swim training will not be provided by Impact Multisport, there are a variety of swim programs in area to choose from. Most events are in waist deep water and athletes will swim 100 to 200m depending on age. It is highly recommended that athletes participate on a local swim team.
2018 Summer Programming For Youth
1st to 5th Grade
- Begin May 13th and End August 4th
- Open to 1st to 5th Graders from any school
- Practice 1-2 days per week on Sunday or Tuesday
- Held at Granville Inetermediate
Sunday- 4:00PM to 5:15PM on May 13, 20, 27 and June 3, 24, July 1, 15
Tuesdays 6:00PM to 7:15 June 5, 12, July 10, 24, July 31
- Any type of bike that is in good working order
- Helmet that fits well and does not move around on their head
- Quality running shoes
Granville Residents are encouraged to register through Granville Recreation $225 for 12 weeks!
All athletes are required to purchase a USA Triathlon Youth Membership for $15
Athletes may participate in a triathlon (swim-bike-run) or in a Duathlon (run-bike-run). The majority of swims are held in waist deep water.
10 and under distance Triathlon distance- 100m swim in waist deep water/ 3 mile bike/ ½ mile run Du-athlon ½ mile run/ 3-mile bike/ ½ mile run
11-15 years 200/6 mile bike/1 mile run- Du-athlon 1/2mile/6 mile/ 1mile
Coach Supported Races- Fee for Racing is paid directly to Race Director and Registration is Required

Saturday, June 16- Maumee Bay (Waist Deep Water)
Saturday, July 7-Ceaser Creek
July 29-Mason Triathlon (pool swim)
August 4-5- Youth and Junior Nationals (no qualification required) West Chester, OH (Water is NOT waist deep)
